Charlie’s Bonnie Lassie

The ideal gift for animal lovers!

Did You Know?

All the female Shire horses bred at Cotebrook Shire Horse Centre are named after Scottish Lochs.

We usually have our visitors enter a “Name our Foal“ competition but on this occasion Alistair named Spirits foal.

Cotebrook is our prefix (registered with the Shire Horse Society so no one else can use it) and all horses born here have Cotebrook before their name.
Charlie is Alistair’s best ever horse and he is the foundation stallion of our bloodline. He is also the grandfather on both sides to the foals mum Spirit.
Bonnie also had a significant impact on our bloodline and she is Spirits Grandmother.

Charlie’s Bonnie Lassie was named after her great grandparents to commemorate their importance to our bloodline at Cotebrook Shire Horse Stud.

Lassie had her first foal in February 2020, the father being Leonardo, and the result was a filly of tremendous show quality. She was born during Storm Ciara so we have named her Ciara!

Lassie is back in foal again to Leonardo for March 2021.
