After a very successful foaling season in 2019, next year could see even more new arrivals on the farm with 9 mares in foal for 2020.
We don’t have long to wait either, with our first mare, Bonnie Lassie due on the 14th Februaury, just 1month away! It will Bonnie Lassie’s first foal and we are very excited about it.
We also have a couple of very special arrivals with 2 time National Champion and firm favourite at Cotebrook, Loch Anna expecting her first foal.
Lady Fiona a Cyldesdale daugher of Collessie Cut Above who was probably the greatest breeding Clydesdale Stallion of modern times is also in foal.
Lady Fiona was artificially inseminated with Moorfield Edward’s frozen semen, who as we all know was one of the greatest breeding Shire Horse Stallions.
It will be interesting to see what the outcome will be using a Collessie Cut Above daughter and Moorfield Edward—two of the greatest Stallions of the two breeds.
