Loch Maddy

The ideal gift for animal lovers!

Did You Know?

All the female Shire horses bred at Cotebrook Shire Horse Centre are named after Scottish Lochs.

Maddy was the 2nd of the 6 foals born at Cotebrook in 2019.

Unusually for the Cotebrook bloodline she is a fairly distant relative of Moorfield Edward being a great grand daughter.
She is big with beautiful bone and ankles and is just awesome. What an addition to our Shire stud! We are very excited about her future. With luck she will mature into a competitor for Anna’s many titles. Good luck little one!

Maddy was named by Chris Gaskill who is a great supporter of Cotebrook Shire Horse Centre.
Loch Maddy is a sea loch leading to the township of Lochmaddy on North Uist in the Outer Hebrides. The gaelic name—Loch nam Madadh—means Loch of the Hounds.
