Red Squirrel Village coming to Cotebrook.
As part of a breeding program to increase the UK’s population of Red Squirrels, we will be creating a Red Squirrel Village in our Hollybush Woodland Area. We have been working closely with Welsh Mountain Zoo who oversee this project.
The Hollybush Woodland at Cotebrook is home to 1500 native trees, including 400 oak trees, and we will be creating a network of runways and enclosures around the pond.
In the coming weeks, we will be looking to gain funding, both corporate as well as through Crowdfunding, to help finance the building of the enclosures, and are working on some great rewards for our backers.
