Hello again, it’s me Anna.
I thought I’d take the opportunity to update you all on goings on around the centre as things are just about to get very busy here.
The Show season is coming to its finale and Alistair is looking for some new ribbon to decorate our manes and tails. I told him I would have a look, like most girls I love a bit of internet shopping and finding a new outfit for a big day out.
Only issue is these delivery drivers! They keep coming with my parcels and leaving “attempted delivery” cards. Anyone would think Horses can’t sign for deliveries!
Anyway first up is my half sister Laggan and my full sister Loyal on October 1st at the Midlands Shire Foal Society Show. They are a bit nervous and have been asking me for tips. I told them just turn up and look glamorous! I don’t think I calmed their nerves.
Next up on the 9th October is the “Horse of the Year Show” I qualified for this due to being Supreme Champion at the Shire Horse National Championship Show back in March and really hope to do well again. It’s the most prestigious horse show in the UK, if not the world, and attracts the top names, including Team GB Gold medalist Nick Skelton and his horse Big Star. I hope to have a chat with him about how he is enjoying being a champion like me!
Finally the North West and Wales Foal Society Show on October 15th will be another chance for Laggan and Loyal to impress.
We hope you will wish us all luck and would be delighted to see any of our visitors at the shows.
